About LaRell:

I have raised five children and am a grandfather to seven. I am currently raising my two youngest; I tutor my own 16-year-old daughter as needed as well. Both of my youngest excel at science and math.

My 35 years of experience, first as an engineer and then as a teacher, has given me a broad understanding of many different areas of science and mathematics. I have taught junior-high and high-school level science, most recently physics, on and off for the last 5 years. I have also taught electronics courses at a technical institute. I have found that my engineering background, where I actually had to USE algebra and the science I learned, has given me a deeper knowledge than teachers who only teach.

I am a natural-born problem-solver personality, quiet by nature, and not easily distracted. I like and get along well with young people. I take the time to get done whatever needs to be done.
